MATTER is a new monthly day and nighttime event at Berlin's open-air club Else. The party seeks to redefine the club experience by combining art, music, food and wine. The event operates from 2PM - 10PM before moving inside to Else's brand-new indoor space, kitted out with a Lambda Labs soundsystem.

Named after the four states of matter, solid, liquid, gas, and plasma, the inaugural party fuses two of these elements to form Liquid Crystal. DJ Bone, Shifted b2b Wata Igarashi, Vân Anh, Nørbak, DJ Red and Tapefeed mark the occasion, while art directors Marina Zumi and Oriol Reverter provide installations and invite local artists to showcase their work too.

Detroit legend DJ Bone headlines the first party. Based in Amsterdam, Bone is an internationally celebrated producer and DJ and remains as authentic as his record collection, tracing back to the early 90s. As well as maintaining a heavy tour schedule, he runs the global club series FURTHER with his wife Ahnne Araza, amplifying new and established talents alike.

Storied UK DJ and producer Shifted goes B2B with Tokyo-born artist Wata Igarashi, blending their mesmerising sounds of tripped, outer-space-type techno into one fluid session.

Vân Anh complements the mood perfectly. Garnering over a decade in the electronic music realm, the Amsterdam-based artist weaves groovy melodies with luminous beats, engaging her audience from the first cue.

Hayes Collective founder Nørbak joins the bill. Following several releases on A_Files, Illegal Alien Records, Dynamic Reflection and many more, the Lux Frágil resident is one of the most consistent producers in today's techno scene.

MATTER residents DJ Red and Tapefeed complete the bill. Resident DJ of the former club Goa in Rome, DJ Red honed her skill at one of the world's most renowned venues, and this shows throughout her captivating DJ sets.

Inveterate label founders Tapefeed complete the bill. As resident DJs of fabric in London, the Italian pair are well-known and established on the European circuit. Expect anything from tribal to groovy techno and a few curveballs in between.
